Well World with Hana
In my quest for wellness and inspiring success stories I came across an Instagram page that captured my interest in a very special way. This page is phenomenal in many ways: presentation, concept, products and is just sending those good vibes that we need every once in a while.
The page is called “Well World with Hana”, is based in Cairo and is selling ecological and environment friendly cleaning products. Is the first time to find them in Egypt and the presentation is outstanding.
I visited the website provided on the Instagram page and I was pleasantly surprised with the professionalism and the attention given to every detail. “Well World with Hana” cleaning products can be found now on the shelfs of Sunny Market in Zamalek and also at RDNA Stores, Maadi which is specialized in organic products. In the RDNA Stores there is also the option of refilling same containers which is a premiere in Egypt. Their line of products is providing all cleaning essentials like floor cleaner, dishwasher powder, dish soap, toilet cleaner and laundry detergent.
I contacted Hana Galal Mansour, founder of “Well World with Hana”, and she was more than happy to answer some of my curiosities. First of all Hana is a full time freelance photographer and graduated from The German University in Cairo, Applied Sciences and Art section.
How “Well World with Hana” started?
In the beginning I was using environmental friendly substances to clean my own room, then I thought about the people who may want to use them but they just don’t have the time to prepare them. My friends wanted to try them and this is how the entire idea came to life. I made the page and I found very positive feedback from everyone.
What is the impact you want to have in the Egyptian society?
The main reason for which I created these products is raising awareness in Egypt about how toxic cleaning products really are and bring a positive change in my culture. When I was younger people uses to clean with old school products but now everyone is buying the standard supermarket shelf products don’t even know what’s in their composition.Do you think that environmental friendly products that you make have a future in the Egyptian market at a larger scale?
Definitely, for sure there is the demand but, unfortunately,the awareness of the majority of the Egyptians is still not quite developed. However, more people are making the switch to green cleaning every day.
What is the concept behind your products?
The concept is simple: natural, homemade and sustainable cleaning products for home. It is an alternative of green cleaning for the Egyptian market. Is mainly designed for the ones who needed it but couldn’t find this alternative in Egypt and also for the ones who were unaware of the effects of other toxic cleaning products.
I found Hana’s initiative very bold and inspiring. She brings awareness and a purposeful business with an amazingly interesting concept for the Egyptian market. Her story is an example to follow because not many have the courage to hope for a better world. Hanna not only hopes but she’s actually bringing solutions for a cleaner and safer future.
